Crampoisic gîte is set in lovely countryside in the heart of Brittany, close to the ancient Manoir de Crampoisic, only 7 minutes from Lake Guerlédan & 8 minutes from Mûr de Bretagne. The Byre gîte is a large, open-plan converted barn with bathroom & kitchen facilities but also with original features such as a high beamed ceiling and attractive pointed stone walls. We kept it open-plan to make the most of this wonderful spacious building. There are dedicated 'areas' rather than rooms- no cramped dining rooms here - true open-plan living with a loft-type feel.
The living area has a glass-fronted wood-burning stove on a slate hearth, to keep you cosy if the evenings turn a little cooler... sofa-bed and comfy armchairs, TV with video, DVD player and a selection of films, books and board games suitable for all the family. No satellite TV, a real chance to get away from it all.
The dining area has a huge antique carved oak Breton buffet (dresser) holding all the crockery, glasses & cooking apparatus you will need for your holiday & a dining table with seating for eight. Adjacent to this is the open-plan kitchen, with a table, fridge, microwave, gas cooker with cooker hood, toaster, coffee machine & electric kettle.
The large bathroom has a bath with shower over. Close by is the the wood-panelled enclosed bedroom/sleeping area with a double bed, there is also a clic-clac sofa beds near the bedroom as well as the one in the living area.
Double French windows open out from the dining/living area onto the large courtyard and sunny lawn with built in barbecue and picnic table, where you can enjoy the long summer evenings dining al-fresco.
